Sleman_UPN "Veterans" Yogyakarta (UPNVY) graduated 928 graduates in which 349 graduates graduating cum laude on the 1st graduation period of the 2019/2020 academic year, Saturday 12 October 2019 at WR Supratman Auditorium Building.
In his remarks, the Chancellor of UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta said that at this graduation ceremony, UPNVY released 928 graduates in which 12 graduates of the Diploma Program, 862 graduates of the Bachelor Program and 45 graduates of the Masters Program.
The Chancellor advised them who would get into a new era, namely the Industry Revolution 4.0 marked by the use of "cyber-physical systems". (complex, uncertain, complex and ambiguous, new literacy: data, technology, human) This era will give birth to new opportunities and challenges. The challenges include the disappearance of millions of jobs and the opportunity for the emergence of 50% more new jobs. Then, they must prepare to have "complex problem solving" skills, social skills, pocess skills, system skills and cognitive abilities.
"I hope that the provision of knowledge that you have can be useful later on for building your beloved nation and country in an intelligent, hard, and sincere manner based on the spirit of discipline, struggle, and creativity.
Based on data from Eko Purnomo, MM as the Academic Head of Diploma program, there were 12 graduates succeeded in getting cumlaude honors with the highest cumulative achievement index (GPA) achieved by Angger Dika Sukmawati, with a GPA of 3.89 from the Chemical Engineering Diploma Program, Faculty of Industrial Engineering.
Bachelor Program had 349 graduates managed to get the cumlaude title with the highest cumulative achievement index (GPA) achieved by Setyo Dita Yuliawati, with a GPA of 3.93 from the Agrotechnology Study Program - Faculty of Agriculture.
Meanwhile, the Masters Program had 45 graduates managed to get cumlaude honors with the highest cumulative achievement index (GPA) achieved by two graduates, namely Fitri Trisnawati from the Master of Communication Studies and Kusmendor from the Master in Geological Engineering, both of whom achieved a score of 3.93.
To be understood, as the 1st graduation period of the 2019/2020 academic year, the fastest graduate in the Bachelor Program was Himawan Hananto Nugroho with a GPA of 3.74 in length of study for 3 years and 7 months from the Business Administration Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences.
Meanwhile, the youngest graduate of the Bachelor Program was Furrano Yonanda Ashwan Zakka with a 3.54 cumulative achievement index (GPA) from the Chemical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Industrial Engineering. Furrano graduated at the age of 20 years 9 months.
This graduation ceremony is a little different from the other period graduations, because this graduation was enlivened by Bregodo. Bregodo itself has a team of 30 personnel
